Chad Bowes Broke the World Record for the Fastest Double Century


Fastest Double Century World Record: New Zealand's Chad Jason Bowes has created history in the sixth match of the ODI tournament Fort Trophy. Chad made a world record by scoring the fastest double century in List-A cricket. Canterbury batsman Chad Bowes played a fiery innings in the match while opening against Otago. By scoring a double century, he broke the records of Australia's Travis Head and India's Narayan Jagadeesan.


Chad Bowes Broke the World Record for the Fastest Double Century


On 23 October, New Zealand batsman Chad Bowes (Chad Bowes Double Century) scored the fastest double century ever in List 'A' one-day cricket. Canterbury Kings opener Chad scored 200 runs in just 103 balls against Otago Volts in front of a small audience at Hagley Oval and broke the previous record by 11 balls.

Chad Bowes broke the record of Australian and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head. Travis had earlier scored the fastest double century in 114 balls while playing for South Australia in List A. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Tamil Nadu opener Narayan Jagadeesan also scored 200 runs off 114 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2022.

Chad Bowes Cricket Career


If we talk about Bowes' cricket career, he has played 6 ODIs and 11 T20 matches for New Zealand so far. He also became the second player in history to score a double century in the Ford Trophy. Former Black Caps batsman Jamie How (222 in the 2012-13 season) is the only player to do so.
