Asia Cup 2025 - India Will Host Asia Cup 2025


A big decision has been taken regarding hosting of Asia Cup 2025. India has got its hosting. It will be played in T20 format. But Pakistan can create problems in Asia Cup 2025. Bangladesh will host the Asia Cup 2027. This tournament will be played in ODI format.


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has got a big success. It has got the rights to host Asia Cup 2025. The last Asia Cup hosted by India was played in 1990-91. In this way, this tournament will be played in India after 35 years. It has been said that this Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the T20 format.



Asia Cup 2025 Teams


According to the tender document released by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the next two men's Asia Cups (India T20, Bangladesh ODI) will have 13 matches each. Also, only 6 teams each will participate in these seasons. Out of these, 5 teams will be India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The sixth team will be decided from the qualifying round.

The Asia Cup is organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). India has won the Asia Cup a record 8 times. Out of these, 7 times it was won in ODIs and 1 time in T20Is. After India, Sri Lanka is the best team. It has won this trophy 6 times. Pakistan is at number three. It has won this gold medal 2 times.
